How to Deliver Stream Like a Pro – and Get Athletes Talking About Nutrition Every Week
Before we jump into your first Stream lesson, let’s talk about why this works:
Most athletes already know they ‘should’ eat better — what they lack is consistent exposure, practical examples, and someone to connect the dots between training and nutrition. That’s where you come in.
Your role isn’t to lecture for 30 minutes or turn into a dietitian — it’s to spark interest, build connections to performance, and keep the conversation alive all week. Stream gives you the tools to do exactly that.”
How the Week Flows
Each week, you’ll get:
- One Main Objective – the big takeaway for the week.
- Daily Talking Points – short, athlete-friendly nuggets you can deliver in under 60 seconds.
- Sample Scripts – optional word-for-word phrasing to make it easy to deliver.
- Action Steps – quick activities or questions to reinforce learning.
- Visual Reinforcement – Stream broadcasts on your TVs or devices to keep the concept in front of them outside of your direct teaching.
Your job is to blend these elements into your training week. Here’s how:
The Weekly Framework
📌 Monday – The Anchor Day
- Introduce the Main Objective using the talking point and sample script.
- Share why it matters to their performance.
- Give them a simple challenge for the week (e.g., “By Friday, know your calorie needs”).
- Point out the Nutrition Calculator poster or any other tool they’ll need.
📌 Tuesday–Thursday – Micro Reinforcement
- Use the day’s talking point before, during, or after training.
- Ask 1–2 open-ended questions to spark quick answers:
- “Who can give me an example from yesterday’s meals that fits today’s topic?”
- “How did you fuel before practice today?”
- Keep it under 60 seconds — the key is repetition without feeling repetitive.
📌 Friday – The Wrap-Up & Action Plan
- Run the interactive piece (e.g., have them scan the Nutrition Calculator QR code).
- Ask: “How close did you get to your goal?” and “What’s one change you’ll make for next week?”
- End with one clear takeaway or target for the next week.
Coach Tip – Why This Works
- Short & frequent beats long & occasional – small touches daily stick better than one big lecture.
- Make it theirs – tie the topic directly to their training, lifts, and goals.
- Get them talking – even one or two athlete responses a day builds buy-in.
Closing Remarks
That’s it. 5–10 minutes on Monday to set the tone, 30–60 seconds each day to reinforce, and one interactive wrap-up Friday. Stream does the heavy lifting visually; you make it personal and real.
Let’s get started with your first lesson — and see how quickly your athletes start making the connection between what’s on their plate and what they can do in the weight room.
